Volume 2: 1905–1918 Rafał Bielski, the owner of one of the largest collections of Warsaw photos, postcards, and plans, invites you to explore the streets of early 20th-century Warsaw! Journey from the revolutionary upheaval and mass protests of 1905, through the debut of the first electric trams in 1908, to the outbreak of World War I and the arrival of the Polish Legions in Warsaw. My goal is to let the voices of those who lived and shaped the city's history narrate the story of early 20th-century Warsaw. Thus, I have incorporated quotes from contemporary guides to describe various streets, parks, and monuments. This method gives the album the feel of an exclusive guide. Additionally, the album features a reproduction of a 1909 lithographed map of Warsaw with house numbers, produced by the renowned F. Kasprzykiewicz factory.
